- Access, property protection, and cleanup.
- What the repair can resolve and what remains uncertain.
Repair or replacement?
The appropriate scope depends on the condition of the whole roof, the extent of the damage, and the compatibility of any replacement materials. A targeted repair may be an option for a localized issue. Widespread deterioration may call for a discussion about roof replacement.
Ask for the reasoning behind either recommendation and a written scope before deciding. An inspection is a useful first step when the condition is unclear.
